Service to Dredger Arco Dyke with unexploded bomb 6th January 2006

 

The dredger Arco Dyke reported that she had dredged up an unexploded bomb and was heading for Caister. The coastguard paged the crew at 11.47 and the lifeboat launched at 11.57 with the Royal Navy Bomb Disposal Team with equipment on board. The bomb was removed from the vessel and exploded on the sea bed.
