Call outs 17-07-08 to 04-08-08.
     
17/07/08 — Service to the yacht Maximus with 6 people onboard. The yacht called for assistance 17 miles NE of Caister he had reported rigging problems, the lifeboat arrived on scene and put J Delf onboard on closer inspection it was found that the mast had dropped. A tow rope was connected and a course set for Yarmouth. The lifeboat towed the yacht to Goodchild Marine.

20/07/08 - Service to two kayaks reported in difficulty off of Scratby. The lifeboat launched with O Nutt as Coxswain. The lifeboat proceeded to Scratby as it got there it found the two kayaks had got ashore safely.

26/07/08 — Service to F.V Nicola Dawn who had broken down ½ a mile south of the station. The wind farm vessel Celtic Warrior stood by until the lifeboat got alongside during which time the Nicola Dawn had got his engine restarted. The lifeboat escorted the Nicola Dawn back to Yarmouth.
   

   

27/07/08 — Service to a reported missing yacht that had not been seen for some 30 hours. The lifeboat launched a proceeded 10 miles east of the station where it was to commence searching. As the lifeboat reached the search area the yacht was found in Lowestoft harbour. Gorleston and Adlebourgh lifeboats were also launched.

01/08/08 — The ILB was tasked to look for a reported dead body in the water off the Haven holiday camp. The ILB searched the area but found nothing so returned to station

02/08/08 — Service to yacht Truant who had suffered engine failure 2 miles NE of the Cockle buoy and was having difficulty sailing into the fresh southerly wind and strong ebb tide. The lifeboat got alongside and transferred A Low and N Beales onto the yacht to connect the tow. A crew member from the yacht was transferred onto the lifeboat as he was suffering from seasickness. A course was then set for Lowestoft harbour.

04/08/08 — The ILB was asked to join the search for a missing 7 year old boy lost from Haven holiday camp. Shortly after launching the boy was found safe and well on land.
