Service to Avon Sea rider Rib 20th September 2005

 

At about 15.58 the lifeboat crew were paged to go to a rib which had broken down at a position 49-46N 73-34W this was reported by the coastguard lookout at Gorleston. The lifeboat launched at 16.08 and arrived on scene at 16.21 the 2 man crew of the casualty were taken on board the lifeboat and the tow commenced at 16.26. The lifeboat entered the harbour at 16.53 whilst approaching Haven Bridge another rib which had been preparing to give aid to the casualty was having difficulty with the ebb tide, and was also taken in tow. Both vessels were moored at Souls Wharf at 17.16. The lifeboat returned to station at 17.16
